6:30pm - 10:00pm

You’re invited to the opening of Gasoline Rainbows, a solo show by Tarralik Duffy, 2021 Kenojuak Ashevak Memorial Award recipient, plus the Inuit Art Foundation will announce the 2023 winner!

This free, public event will feature special remarks, throat singing by Nikki Komaksiutisak, tunes from DJ The Kaptain, plus a champagne reception and light bites.

Duffy is well-known for her work with jewellery, textiles, and pop art concepts. Lately, Duffy has delved further into her work with pop art, taking recognizable objects and transforming them through her own unique lens. We can expect a lot of bright colours and fun interpretations.

During the opening of the exhibition, the Inuit Art Foundation will also announce the 2023 KAMA winner! The winner will receive $20,000, a four-week residency, solo exhibition, catalogue and acquisition into our permanent collection. We hope to see you during this special event!
