Volunteering at the Gallery

Activities may include:

  • Assisting as a greeter, usher, or gallery attendant at events
  • Event set-up and take down
  • Assisting with community outreach and research projects
  • Assisting with school groups and giving exhibition tours
  • Assisting instructors of WAG Studio art classes for kids
  • Helping out at our ShopWAG retail locations, which specialize in Canadian and Indigenous art
  • Providing administrative support to various departments within WAG-Qaumajuq

If you are over 18, you may be interested in joining the Associates of the WAG — a dedicated group of volunteers and members who support the Gallery through events and community engagement.

WAG-Qaumajuq recognizes that land acknowledgements are part of an ongoing dialogue with Indigenous Nations, and we are grateful to live and work on these lands and waters. Institutionally, WAG-Qaumajuq is committed to acknowledging our colonial history and we are actively working to interrogate the Gallery’s colonial ways of being.
