The Kenojuak Ashevak Memorial Award follows a two-year cycle. The 10-artist longlist is announced in February, with each artist receiving $2,500, mentorship, and promotion in a catalogue distributed worldwide with Inuit Art Quarterly.
In May, the five shortlisted artists are announced, each receiving $5,000 with their work showcased in an exhibition at WAG-Qaumajuq.
Congratulations to Ningiukulu Teevee, the 2023 winner! Teevee will receive $20,000 and a residency at the Gallery in 2024. They will also have their art featured in a solo exhibition with a catalogue, and an artwork by the winning artist is acquired to the WAG-Qaumajuq collection in 2025!
