New hours of operation at WAG-Qaumajuq starting April 1

The Gallery is adjusting our public hours beginning April 1, 2024. The new public hours for the Gallery, ShopWAG, and Katita Café are Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm.

Every month, WAG-Qaumajuq will present pop-up evening events to concentrate activity during these hours and delight you with diverse and vibrant programming. This will include exhibition openings, live entertainment, special events, film screenings, and more.

The first pop-up is Friday, April 19, 5-9pm, to celebrate Art in Bloom, a lush exhibit of floral interpretations of the artwork on display, and will feature performances by the University of Manitoba Percussion Ensemble at 7pm and 8pm.

The Gallery will continue to be open for studio classes, school tours, public and private events, and rentals outside of public hours to provide opportunities for the community to gather for learning, celebrations, meetings, and special occasions.

We look forward to seeing you at WAG-Qaumajuq.

Institutionally, WAG-Qaumajuq is committed to acknowledging our colonial history and we are actively working to interrogate the Gallery’s colonial ways of being.
