Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Returns to WAG-Qaumajuq this Winter

Join us at the Gallery for the World’s Best Ads with 15 showings!

Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 29, 2023: The Winnipeg premiere of the 2023 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity launches December 9 at WAG-Qaumajuq. Screenings of the world’s best ads run December 9 to January 6, with reruns March 29-30. Join us for a special media preview screening on Wednesday, December 6 at 7pm.

Presented annually since 1954, the Cannes Lions are the most prestigious international creative communications awards in the advertising and communication industry. This is a special opportunity for Winnipeggers to see the world’s most entertaining, inspirational, and humorous commercials from around the world, including a selection of bronze, silver, gold, and grand prix winners from the past year.

Visitors can join friends and family in the beautiful Muriel Richardson Auditorium for content representing almost every continent and spanning cultures from around the globe. This fun evening also features a cash bar with snacks available. ShopWAG is open until 9pm on Fridays for holiday shopping, and the entire first floor of WAG-Qaumajuq is free for you to explore if you arrive early for the screenings.
