Variations of colour therapy are thought to have been practiced as far back as ancient Egypt, Greece, China, and India.
Today’s ‘chromotherapy’ is a holistic approach used to help individuals release anxiety, ease depression, and better connect to their environments. While scientific evidence of the mental health benefits of colour are still ambiguous, there is no doubt that colour moves us in many ways! This exhibition turns the west and north walls of the Main Hall into playful, abstract walls of colour with the goal of bringing the outdoor vibrancy of the summer months right into the Gallery.
