Book Launch and Curator Tour with Dr. Stephen Borys, WAG-Qaumajuq Director and CEO – FREE!

On February 2 at 7pm, join Dr. Stephen Borys, WAG-Qaumajuq Director and CEO for a curatorial tour of Tim Gardner: The Full Story that will offer insight into the inspiration behind this important retrospective.

Known for his watercolour paintings, Gardner also works in oils and pastels. His art practice embraces the warmth of the moment, whether that moment is on a basketball court or under the stars. A maestro of the urban and natural landscape, Gardner documents the everyday happenings of masculinity, family, and friendship.

Tim Gardner: The Full Story is the first retrospective and the largest exhibition of Gardner’s work, spanning 30 years and featuring over 130 artworks. Works in the show are drawn from public and private collections from across North America, along with an important group of works from the artist’s private collection. Many of the works in the exhibition have not been shown publicly.

Launching on February 2, the fully illustrated catalogue with essay contributions by several Canadian scholars will be available at ShopWAG! This exhibition catalogue launch begins at 6:30pm, doors open at 6pm.

This event is open to the public and FREE! This event is first come first serve, and has a capacity of 50 people.
