As a part of Art in Bloom 2024, we’re partnering with Floral Fixx Design Studio to bring botanical workshops to the Gallery!

Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arranging, is a practice that I find deeply fascinating. In my brief exploration of this art form, I have come to understand its essence lies in creating harmony and flow. Ikebana is a delicate dance between staying true to nature and sculpting its beauty in a way that unfolds gracefully, almost like crafting an idealized version of nature.

This workshop will be led by the talented Julie Myers! With her expertise, you’ll have the opportunity to delve into the intricate world of Ikebana, learning the principles of balance and the art of creating a captivating visual poetry with flowers.

Join us for an enriching experience where you can explore the profound beauty of Ikebana under the guidance of Julie Myers.
