Waddington's@WAG: Appraisal Weekend
Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22
Interested in knowing the value of your art and other unique items? Join us at the WAG for a weekend of appraisals and in-home visits from professional art appraisers - all in support of the WAG Inuit Art Centre and the work of the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
The Winnipeg Art Gallery, one of Canada's oldest civic art galleries, will be partnering with Waddington's, Canada's oldest auction house, to host a series of fundraising events in support of the Inuit Art Centre and the WAG, organized by the WAG Associates. Events will include appraisal clinics held at the WAG, private in-home visits from professional appraisers, and an evening with curators and appraisers in support of the Inuit Art Centre. This event will focus on Inuit and Canadian art.
Friday, September 20: Join us for an evening of wine and appetizers, plus tours of all available gallery spaces, a chance to mingle with curators and appraisers, and a talk by WAG Director and CEO, Dr. Stephen Borys, and President of Waddington's, Duncan McLean, titled What is the Value of Art? Get tickets.
Saturday, September 21: Bring your art/unique items to the WAG and speak with a professional appraiser. Tickets available here.
Sunday, September 22: Private collectors in Winnipeg will have a chance to book a Waddington's appraiser for an in-home, expert assessment, planning, and advice. Reserve your spot.
Waddington's@WAG is a fundraiser of the Associates of the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
