Slice and Dice: Flower and Foliage Manipulation
Saturday, April 13 from 9am to 11am
Take part in this hands-on workshop with Dawn Ormiston of Petals West, one of the master minds behind Art in Bloom.
Left alone, Mother Nature creates amazing and stunningly beautiful designs. But as creative creatures, we humans are rarely satisfied to leave things as they are. We have a ceaseless urge to re-arrange things and re-create in a new image. In this class, Dawn will show you some simple techniques to slice and dice flowers and foliage and manipulate them into shapes you’ll not see in nature. Many flowers often aren’t as fragile as we tend to think they are.
Use what you have learned in the class to take a walk on the wild side and create your own unique and imaginative design. Flowers, foliage and containers provided. Please bring your own scissors and a sharp knife.
Tickets are $150 • No experience necessary, registration required. There may still be some spots available - ask a volunteer or the WAG front desk attendant when you arrive on-site.
