MakerLab: Shibori Fabric Dyeing II
Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
The first Shibori Dyeing MakerLab was so popular that we're hosting another one!
Learn the art of Shibori, an ancient Japanese method of resist dyeing. Tamara Klassen will cover a variety of techniques by folding and binding cloth to create different patterns, as you learn how to set up and dye with an indigo vat. You will go home with three 100% cotton 27” square finished textiles and the skills to dye many more pieces on your own. These unique pieces are suitable for making tea towels, wall art, bandanas, pillows, and more! Wear clothing you don’t mind getting dye on.
$80 single ticket / $75 WAG members or 2+ tickets.
Ages 14 and up. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Space is limited. Advanced registration required. Revenue from MakerLab is used to fund programming for children, teens, and adults at WAG Studio.
