Opening: Karel Funk
Friday, June 10, 2016 from 7pm to 10pm
Join us for the opening of the Karel Funk exhibit, the largest and first true survey of Funk’s work.
Funk is known for his precise paintings of lone figures, clothed in high-performance gear. The artist’s work is represented in collections of major museums throughout North America, such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York to the National Gallery of Canada.
The exhibition also coincides with the release of a short film on Karel Funk, directed by Caelum Vatnsdal. Everyone is invited to the free premiere on June 12 at 2pm.
