Canadian Launch of Arctic Adaptations: Nunavut at 15
Begins: Friday March 6, 2015
Celebrate the Canadian launch of Arctic Adaptations: Nunavut at 15. The project was first presented as Canada’s official exhibition at the prestigious 2014 Venice Biennale in Architecture, where it was honoured with a Special Mention. Marking Nunavut’s 15th anniversary as a territory, Arctic Adaptations is a team-based project initiated and led by the architectural firm Lateral Office. It surveys a century of Arctic architecture, an urbanizing present, and a projective near future of adaptive architecture in Nunavut.
