MakerLab: Block Print Scarves
Saturday, October 20 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
Join textile artist Tamara Klassen to create this exciting new MakerLab project. You will use mineral mordants (dye fixative) as a block printing medium and natural dyes to create a one-of-a-kind fabric scarf. Prior to the hands-on portion of the class, Tamara will explain what mordants and natural dyes are, and how they work together to create unique effects on fabric.
$80/ticket; $75 for WAG members or 2+ tickets
Ages 14 and up. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Space is limited. Advanced registration required. Revenue from MakerLab is used to fund programming for children, teens, and adults at WAG Studio.
