Winnipeg Premiere of Cannes Lions 2016 – World’s Best Commercials

Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 22, 2016:  Tickets are now on sale to see the winners of the 2016 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. This annual compilation of the world’s best commercials is being screened December 15 to 18, 27, and 28.

Representing almost every continent and spanning cultures from around the globe, these ads are a fascinating window to the world.

Thursday, December 15, 7:00pm
Friday, December 16, 7:00pm & 9:30pm
Saturday, December 17, 3:00pm, 7:00pm & 9:30pm
Sunday, December 18, 3:00pm & 7:00pm
Tuesday, December 27, 7:00pm
Wednesday, December 28, 7:00pm
Doors open one hour before the first showing, rushed seating. 

Tickets: $15 or $13 for WAG members, seniors, and students; available at or in person at the WAG front desk. Many shows sell out, so it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Screenings feature a soft drink, snack and cash bar.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications. As the most prestigious international annual advertising awards, nearly 40,000 entries from close to 100 countries are showcased and judged at the festival. Winning organizations receive the highly coveted Lion trophy, benchmarking innovation in anything from mobile and billboards to design and branded content.
