2012 Cannes Lions – WAG Premieres the World’s Best Commercials

From all over the world they come. Thousands enter but few are chosen. We’re talking about the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the best commercials from across the globe, being screened at the Winnipeg Art Gallery on select dates in December in the Muriel Richardson Auditorium.

Representing almost every continent and spanning a multitude of cultures, these ads are a fascinating window to the world.

Tickets are on sale now for screenings:
• Dec 5, 6, 12 - 7pm
• Dec 7, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 - 7pm and 9:30pm

Tickets are $9 for WAG members, $11 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors. They are available at wag.ca or in person at the WAG front desk. Many shows sell out, so it’s recommended you get your tickets early. Soft drinks, chips, and chocolate bars will be available.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications. As the most prestigious international annual advertising awards, over 24,000 entries from all over the world are showcased and judged at the Festival. Winning companies receive the highly coveted Lion trophy, honouring the most creative film, film craft, print, outdoor, interactive, radio, design, sales promotion & activation and integrated advertising, as well as the best media, direct marketing, PR and Titanium ideas.
