WAG’s Popular Dinner and Exhibition Tour Program Sells Out Again

The Winnipeg Art Gallery is thrilled to announce that its latest edition of Art Eats, just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 10, is sold out! This popular program introduced last November, features a tantalizing three-course dinner at Storm Bistro followed by a guided exhibition tour.

Every Art Eats to date has been a sellout, leaving the city wanting more. The price point is reasonably set ($30 for WAG Members/$35 for Non-Members) with a portion of the proceeds supporting art education at the WAG. “We are delighted by the public’s positive response and grateful for the support it provides,” says Anna Wiebe, Head of Education. “Storm Bistro, located on the penthouse level, overlooks our stunning sculpture garden. Pair that with an exhibition-inspired menu and an engaging tour, and you’ve got a fabulous recipe you won’t find anywhere else.”

More Art Eats dates are scheduled in conjunction with American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell, the WAG’s spring blockbuster exhibition, which opens March 2. The public may reserve today for April 13 and May 11 dates. An extra special Art Eats is planned for Wednesday, April 25 featuring an exclusive exhibition tour with Peter Rockwell, Norman Rockwell’s youngest son. Tickets for the April 25 Art Eats are $60 WAG Members/$70 Non-Members. For more information visit rockwell.wag.ca or call 789-0516.

Celebrating its centenary from September 2012 to August 2013, the Winnipeg Art Gallery is Canada’s oldest civic art gallery and Manitoba’s leading visual arts institution. With a collection of over 25,000 objects spanning over ten centuries—including the world’s largest collection of contemporary Inuit art—the WAG constantly moves between the historical and the contemporary, engaging a growing public with the power of art in our lives.
