WAG Home Tour Returns Highlighting Scenic Headingley Area

Highly-anticipated fundraiser will showcase five private homes on September 14

Winnipeg, Manitoba, August 27, 2025: The Winnipeg Art Gallery (WAG)-Qaumajuq is excited to announce the 12th edition of the Home Tour fundraiser, presented by The Associates of the WAG. The self-guided tour of five unique homes is coming to Headingley, Manitoba. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore remarkable residences, with all proceeds supporting WAG-Qaumajuq.

The rural municipality of Headingley is where history and nature meet. Nestled along the Assiniboine River, the area is a serene escape from the city. The tour includes five homes tucked away in the picturesque area:

  • Mid-Century Modern Masterpiece: Journey through a beautifully preserved 1950s bungalow set on 36 acres along the river. Its blend of original finishes and modern adaptations offers timeless charm.
  • The Sugar Cube House: Experience cutting-edge, sustainable design with this energy-efficient home, characterized by its innovative use of insulating concrete forms, set beside a peaceful pond.
  • New York City Loft Meets Manitoba Roots: Discover a fusion of urban loft style and local charm, featuring industrial elements and serene outdoor spaces.
  • Scandinavian-Inspired Serenity: Walk through a stunning, contemporary home that embodies minimalist design, nestled beside the Assiniboine forest and river for a tranquil retreat.
  • Riverside Retreat, A Versace Welcome: Experience elegance with this riverside home, featuring luxurious interiors and expansive views, ideal for gatherings.

  • The 2025 Home Tour, presented by The Associates of the WAG, will take place in Headingley, Manitoba on Sunday, September 14, 10am-4pm.
  • The self-guided tour features five private homes, each one showcasing distinct architectural styles and design excellence, providing a testament to creativity and craftsmanship. Attendees will gain inspiration while enjoying the beauty of Headingley area’s landscape.
  • Participants are welcome to begin their tour at any home and continue in any order they wish. A map is provided in the program with pit stops and points of interest.
  • Tickets are now available for purchase online at wag.ca/home-tour for $50, and available in person until September 11 at WAG-Qaumajuq front desk (300 Memorial Blvd) or at Shelmerdine Garden Center (7800 Roblin Blvd) during open hours.
  • All proceeds from the Home Tour will directly benefit WAG-Qaumajuq, supporting various arts initiatives and community programs. This fundraiser is not only a feast for the eyes, but also an opportunity to contribute to the cultural landscape.
  • The Associates of the Winnipeg Art Gallery are a vibrant group dedicated to advancing WAG-Qaumajuq’s mission.
