Family Stroller Tours

Monthly stroller-friendly tours that allow you to engage in conversations on art with other adults while being mindful of your little ones.
Oct 27, 11am • Haunted Gallery - learn about the spooky side of the artwork in the new rehanging of the WAG permanent collection.
Nov 20, 11am • The 80's image - go back in time to the 80's and experience the art of the decade.
Included with Gallery admission; FREE for WAG members. Children 5 and under are free.

Family Fusion is a monthly DIY arts and crafts event – stop by the WAG with your family and spend some creative time together.
Drop-in between 1pm and 3pm • $20 per family (2 adults and up to 4 children under 18) Includes entry to all galleries • FREE for WAG members.
Sunday, Oct 28 • Halloween Bat Attack - Make a spooky bat decoration just in time for Halloween.
Sunday, Nov 18 • Ribbon Sticks - See the New Contemporary exhibition and fashion a ribbon stick that looks just like a paintbrush dipped in paint.

Get festive with your family at the WAG! Enjoy a mug of hot cocoa, cookies, and crafts, as we come together to deck the halls and celebrate another winter season. Don't forget your camera to take a picture with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's Filbert the Nutcracker Bear. FREE for all.
Winter Art Camp
Thursday, December 27 to Thursday, January 3
Shake up the winter break with art activities and gallery exploration. Each day of winter art camp is inspired by a fun new theme, and includes active outdoor time on the WAG rooftop. At the end of the day, campers will host a mini-exhibition for family and friends to see. Pack a lunch and snack, warm weather wear, and get ready for a fun-filled day, or two!
Camps run 9am-4pm daily, with extended care available from 8:30am-5pm.
Cost: $55/day; $50/day for WAG members
Dec 27 (ages 6 to 8): Take inspiration from prints on display in the Gallery and learn simple printmaking techniques to make art of your own.
Power in the Poster
Dec 28 (ages 9-12): See The 80's Image exhibition and take part in a power in an 80s activism poster making workshop.
Wonderful Wall Hangings
Jan 2 (ages 6 to 8): Explore pieces from the WAG Inuit Art collection, including fascinating wall hangings from Baker Lake. Then create your own collage wall hanging to take home.
Jan 3 (ages 9-12): Check out carvings on display and make your own version in our ever-popular soapstone carving workshop.
