Group Tours for Kids
Choose from an array of interactive tours and workshops, perfect for daycares, sports teams, scouts, guides, home schoolers, or groups of friends! Tours available Friday from 5-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am-5pm. Visit wag.ca/bookatour to reserve your spot.

 

 

Winter Art Camp

Thursday, December 27 to Thursday, January 3

Shake up the winter break with art activities and gallery exploration. Each day of winter art camp is inspired by a fun new theme, and includes active outdoor time on the WAG rooftop. At the end of the day, campers will host a mini-exhibition for family and friends to see. Pack a lunch and snack, warm weather wear, and get ready for a fun-filled day, or two! 

Camps run 9am-4pm daily, with extended care available from 8:30am-5pm.
$55/day; $50/day for WAG members

Perfect Printmaking
Dec 27 (ages 6 to 8): Take inspiration from prints on display in the Gallery and learn simple printmaking techniques to make art of your own.

Power in the Poster
Dec 28 (ages 9-12): See The 80's Image exhibition and take part in an activist poster-making workshop.

Wonderful Wall Hangings
Jan 2 (ages 6 to 8): Explore pieces from the WAG Inuit art collection, including fascinating wall hangings from Baker Lake. Then create your own collage wall hanging to take home. 

Super Soapstone
Jan 3 (ages 9-12): Check out carvings on display and make your own version in our ever-popular soapstone carving workshop.

 

Family Fusion

Family Fusion is a monthly DIY arts and crafts event – stop by the WAG with your family and spend some creative time together.

Drop-in between 1pm and 3pm • $20 per family (2 adults and up to 4 children under 18) Includes entry to all galleries • FREE for WAG members.

Sunday, Feb 10 • Valentine: Make some special prints for your loved ones.

Spring Break Family Fusion

Tuesday, Mar 26 • Dioramas: Design a custom room from your imagination. 

Thursday. Mar 28 • Soapstone Carving: Experience shaping and polishing a piece of soapstone into a work of art you’ll cherish

Sunday, Apr 14 • Flower Power: Make tissue paper flowers in celebration of Art in Bloom.

Family Stroller Tours
