Create your own unique 4” x 5” leather-bound journal. Learn how to bind a book using the long stitch, link stitch binding method, which dates back to the 4th century. This style of binding allows for all pages to lay completely flat, ideal for writing and sketching. Hand sewn construction makes it easy to remove old pages and add new ones, so you can refresh and renew the journal’s content.

WAG Studio offers many ways to explore your creativity with beginner and intermediate courses in a variety of media. Unless otherwise indicated, adults provide their own tools and supplies for classes. Students in beginner courses will be given materials for the first class, while those in intermediate courses should bring their own selection. Supply lists are handed out on the first day of class. For special workshops, materials are generally included in the class cost.

Drawing Basics

For students with little or no drawing experience, this introduction to the fundamental techniques and concepts of drawing will sharpen observational skills and build confidence. Practice translating what you see into what you draw as you work with different subjects, including still life studies and the human form.
