Come by, listen in, and spill a little tea with us during this inspiring evening at the Gallery.
Join Grace Braniff, WAG-Qaumajuq Assistant Curator of Art, for a casual and insightful tour of the exhibition, Crying over Spilt Tea, inspired by the phrases “spill the tea”—a term rooted in Black drag culture that’s all about sharing truths and secrets—and “don’t cry over spilt milk,” this exhibition explores what gets revealed, what gets hidden, and what’s already happened. Featuring artworks from the Permanent Collection, Crying over Spilt Tea focuses on the “tea” and the “T”: untold stories, quiet truths, and moments that linger after they’ve been shared. The exhibition invites you to sit with what’s been said (or spilled) and reflect on what it means. Before or after the tour be sure check out the visible vault on the Main floor and challenge yourselves to complete the Visible Vault Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt.

Each edition of WAG Wednesday Nights offers something different; come for the art, stay for the community.
