Move Freely and Celebrate Proudly at WAG Wednesday Nights.

This event is a free, public, movement-based cultural program.

The evening will feature drop-in dance workshops and a DJ-led dance party, celebrating Pride through music, movement, and community gathering.

The program highlights two dance cultures rooted in community and resistance — Whaacking/Punking and Vogue Femme — and is designed to be welcoming, beginner-friendly, and accessible for all ages and experience levels. Participants may join for one workshop, the dance party, or move freely throughout the evening.

Whaacking/Punking is a street dance style that originated in 1970s Los Angeles within Black and queer club communities, characterized by expressive arm movements, musicality, and storytelling. Vogue Femme emerged from Black and Latinx ballroom culture in New York City and emphasizes confidence, precision, and self-expression, celebrating queer and trans identities through movement.
