From basic thrown or hand-built forms you’ll create mugs, bowls, and platters. You’ll also learn glazing and decorating techniques to finish your work and develop your own ideas related to functional and non-functional forms.
Please note there will be no class on Mar 13 to allow clay to dry for final bisque firing.

Toluwalope Toludare
Toludare Toluwalope (PhD) is a professional ceramist from Nigeria. Who has been teaching and practicing ceramics since 2011. He last taught at Federal University of Technology Akure, before he moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He has passion for pottery, and has mastered advance throwing with interest in making big pots on the potter’s wheel, a skill set he eagerly shares with his students. He generates harmony for thrown forms with dexterity showing African/Asian master class. He’s learnt ceramics in the crudest way with wealth of experience working things around to get any desired result in ceramics. His curiosity for ceramics is more into solving mysteries, which is evident in his scientific research publications. He is currently extending his practice to include the Canadian ceramics experience, which has been an interesting adventure for him so far.
