Discover hand building, which includes slab building, slump molded forms, and throwing on the potter’s wheel.

From basic thrown or hand-built forms you’ll create mugs, bowls, and platters. You’ll also learn glazing and decorating techniques to finish your work and develop your own ideas related to functional and non-functional forms.

Please note there will be no class on Oct 12, and on Dec 7 to allow clay to dry for final bisque firing.to allow clay to dry for final bisque firing.

Ysa Aguinaldo

Ysa Aguinaldo is a Winnipeg-based ceramic artist and the hands behind Just for Fun Ceramics. Ysa’s journey in the world of pottery began in the Winnipeg Art Gallery Studios, and since then, she has found her passion for creating bright, bold and joyfully exciting pottery. With a background as an Educator in Woodworking and Visual Arts, Ysa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as a ceramics instructor, nurturing the creativity and talent of her students while skillfully supporting them on their individualized personal goals. Beyond the classroom and ceramics, Ysa enjoys spending her time crafting with a wide array of mediums such as; watercolour, linocut printing, paper art, etc.
