1:00pm – 2:00pm

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the signing of Treaty One.

To honour this occasion, WAG-Qaumajuq in partnership with the Treaty One Nation, are proud to present a panel series featuring stories highlighting Treaty One’s past, present and future.

Knowledge Keepers Ray Mason and Ruth Norton will talk about the origin of Treaty One, we’ll also discuss Treaty One today and what the current issues are, and Promise Keepers Emilie McKinney and Jaiden Roberts will speak to Treaty One’s future.

The WAG is very honoured to be able to uplift Indigenous voices from Treaty One territory, since it is the land the WAG sits on.

Hosted by Adeline Bird

*The panel talks will also be posted after the events on the WAG website
