Every Other Thursday

6:00pm – 7:00pm

Ages 14 and up
Learn the art of acrylic painting, one painting at a time! This class is best for students that prefer to work at their own pace, as the lessons are in the form of pre-recorded video tutorials, allowing you to pause, rewind, and work at whatever time of day is best for you.

Every 2 weeks participants will be sent a video tutorial for a painting. Students will work on the painting at home, and meet biweekly with the class and instructor for a 1 hour live Q&A on Zoom.
The Q&As will occur at 6pm on Oct 14, Oct 28, Nov 11, Nov 25, and Dec 9.

Between Q&As, students are invited to share their work, and any questions they might have in a private Facebook group.

Painting themes/topics covered include:

  • Pop Art
  • Cubism
  • Surrealism
  • Impressionism
  • Expressionism

Students can choose to use their own supplies, or purchase a supply kit from the WAG.  Kits can be picked up at the WAG Studio by appointment, or have it delivered to their home (within Winnipeg) for an additional $10.  Deadline to order supplies is Sep 12.
