Ted Barker is a visual artist from Winnipeg. He graduated with a BFA Honours from the University of Manitoba where he won the Tanya Asper memorial prize for painting. Since graduating he has worked primarily as a full-time artist and has exhibited in Winnipeg, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and New York City. Ted’s practice focuses on small-scale, photo realistic drawing and painting, but occasionally extends into sculpture and printmaking. His work has been featured in Border Crossings Magazine, Canadian Art and ESOPUS magazine. When he’s not busy gluing googly eyes you can find him in his studio creating new work.
