Tune in to the Kenojuak Ashevak Memorial Award Ceremony on Zoom!

The Kenojuak Ashevak Memorial Award (KAMA) is presented by the Inuit Art Foundation honours the late Kenojuak Ashevak, CC, ON, RCA and her tremendous impact on Inuit artists by supporting a mid-career artist with $10,000. Introduced this year, the shortlist showcases the incredible, diverse talent of contemporary Inuit artists, and awards each $3,000.

This year’s KAMA Shortlist includes Eldred Allen and Couzyn van Heuvelen, who are featured in INUA, as well as one of INUA’s co-curator’s Kablusiak, and artist Tarralik Duffy.

The winner will be announced live during a virtual ceremony on Zoom hosted by the Inuit Art Foundation‘s Board President and Co-Chair of the WAG Indigenous Advisory Circle, Dr. Heather Igloliorte, and features past KAMA winner Asenath Kannutaq and a musical performance by June award-winning musicians Silla and Rise. The event will also include an exciting announcement by WAG-Qaumajuq Director & CEO, Dr. Stephen Borys – tune in to be a part of the celebration!
