October
Join us this October as we celebrate Islamic History Month with a series of special events in partnership with Focus Hub Inc.

On Sunday, October 13, enjoy Free Islamic Storytelling with Amna Burki, who will share stories and a hands-on art-making activity for families with Community Partner Canadian Muslim Women Institute. Friday, October 25 features a Calligraphy Workshop & Demonstration by Omar Uddin, and on Sunday, October 27, experience a Global Tea Fest with teas from around the world, workshops, and live demos.

To continue the celebrations into November, Focus Hub Inc. will host Uncensored Dialogues at WAG-Qaumajuq on Sunday, November 24 with the Community Partner Rahma Mosque. Indigenous and Islamic knowledge keepers will come together for a meaningful conversation on culture and spirituality.

Celebrate with us and explore rich cultural traditions!

WAG-Qaumajuq recognizes that land acknowledgements are part of an ongoing dialogue with Indigenous Nations, and we are grateful to live and work on these lands and waters. Institutionally, WAG-Qaumajuq is committed to acknowledging our colonial history and we are actively working to interrogate the Gallery’s colonial ways of being.

WAG-Qaumajuq is LEED certified.
