WAG-Qaumajuq and GroundSwell are thrilled to co-present North/South, a unique gallery concert featuring throat songs by Caramello and Chasity Swan, as well as music for violas and percussion played by Melody McKiver, Jennifer Thiessen, and Ben Reimer.

Enjoy new collaborations/improvisations by Melody McKiver and Jennifer Thiessen, as well as recent musical compositions by Melody McKiver, Jim Hiscott, and others inspired by a curated selection of Inuit artwork on display in the Main Hall.

Come early at 6pm (before the concert) to view Qaumajuq’s stunning, three-story glass vault filled with thousands of Inuit carvings, as well as Inuit sculptures in the Main Hall displayed alongside the Wanda Koop series: A View from Here.

Tips for Visiting
WAG-Qaumajuq recognizes that land acknowledgements are part of an ongoing dialogue with Indigenous Nations, and we are grateful to live and work on these lands and waters. Institutionally, WAG-Qaumajuq is committed to acknowledging our colonial history and we are actively working to interrogate the Gallery’s colonial ways of being.
