This course gives an introduction to basic techniques and fundamental concepts that artists use to create successful drawings and paintings.

Students will build observational skills, use their imaginations, and visit WAG exhibitions.

Some lessons may be held outdoors on the rooftop sculpture garden, or a nearby park (weather permitting). Please dress accordingly.

Kai Bergen

Kai Bergen is a multidisciplinary artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. They work in watercolours, inks, pencils, and gouache. Their art is inspired by storytelling and mythology, as well as children’s books, comics, and literature.
