1:00pm – 3:00pm

Presented by The Decolonizing Lens, join us for a FREE screening of Tia and Piujuq.

This is a hybrid event with sections available in person and online. The event will begin at 1pm with doors opening at 12:30pm, no RSVP needed.

About the film: Tia, a young Syrian girl new to Montreal, longs for friends when she accidentally discovers a magic portal that transports her to Igloolik, where she meets an Inuk girl named Piujuq. The kids connect through games and the stories of Piujuq’s grandmother, until their blossoming friendship is threatened by a mysterious figure. Charming and heart-warming, Tia and Piujuq is a film for people of all ages.

After the screening, Director Lucy Tulugarjuk will join Jocelyn Piirainen, WAG-Qaumajuq Associate Curator of Inuit Art for a conversation about the film.

Bannock pizza, fruit, veggies, and drinks provided by Feast.
