The evening begins at 6:30pm with the Living Lookbook, where you can get a closer look at the amazing jewellery, handbags, hats, scarves, and other accessories that will be available for purchase at CRAFTED: Show + Sale, November 7-9. Live models will show the pieces alongside the artists who made them at the champagne reception with hors d’oeuvres in Qaumajuq’s breathtaking Abraham Anghik Ruben exhibit.
The runway show begins at 8pm in the WAG Main Hall surrounded by Wanda Koop’s View from Here, followed by a reception and meet and greet with North of North’s Zorga Qaunaq, Jennifer Kilabuk, and Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory.

CRAFTED on the Catwalk is extra special this year with actors from season one of the hit APTN, CBC and Netflix series, North of North! See Zorga Qaunaq, Jennifer Kilabuk, and Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory model incredible looks by designers from Manitoba and the North. Following the runway show, there will be a reception and meet and greet with the actors. On Friday, November 7 at 2pm at CRAFTED: Show + Sale there will be a screening of North of North sponsored by CBC, followed by a Q & A and a meet and greet with actors Zorga Qaunaq and Jennifer Kilabuk.

Inspire D'Elykia Inspire D'Elykia
Marie Rosette Mikulu, a young stylist, specializes in African wax print fabric, rich in history. For the past three years, her brand “Inspired by D’Elykia” (named after her first child) embodies creativity and personalization. Influenced by great designers and eras, she reinvents wax patterns to create unique garments. Her creations go beyond African attire, including accessories like scrunchies and hats. Having grown up in various cultures, her work reflects this diversity. For her, fashion is self expression, constant exploration, and an enriching experience that she deeply cherishes.
Maison Corazon Maison Corazon
Mercedes grew up surrounded by art, music, and culture in the magnetic city of Buenos Aires. She obtained degrees both in Fashion Design and Textile Design from the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of Universidad de Buenos Aires. Currently she is the creative mind and designer of her own brand, Maison Corazon. She creates handmade capsule collections with a strong narrative, encouraging wearers to express themselves through clothing and style. The collections are designed with obsessive details, impeccable craftmanship and studied volumes and silhouettes. Her inspiration comes from eclectic sources, like film, art currents, places, people, humour, and the past.
Iris Lauzon Iris Lauzon
Iris Lauzon is a Cree designer from Churchill, MB, and a member of York Factory Cree Nation. She began her studies in fashion with an introduction to pattern drafting at the University of Manitoba, and completed her training at the Yvonne Yuen School of Design in Saskatoon, SK in 1995. Since completing her studies, Lauzon has worked in many capacities within the textile industry, including factory production, alterations, retail, theatre, and film. Lauzon has presented her work in numerous fashion shows, and was among the local designers running the Aboriginal Designers Marketing Co-op from 2016 to 2019. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to the visibility and development of Indigenous designs and aesthetics within contemporary fashion.
Halfmoon Woman Halfmoon Woman
Halfmoon Woman (Pat Bruderer) was born and raised in Churchill, Manitoba in the 1950’s. Her maternal roots come from Southend Reindeer Lake and Pukatawagan, Manitoba. Her mothers resilience has impacted Pat deeply and her mothers spirit is woven into everything Pat creates. Pat is a member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation (PBCN), they are Assin’skowitiniwak (Rocky Cree).
Pat has been creating art, fashion, and Birchbark biting for over 40 years.
She is currently I living in Winnipeg MB, and is the Director of Creativity at an indigenous arts and culture center.
