WAG-Quamajuq is thrilled to partner with Merit Motion Pictures (Winnipeg), Liquid Stars Productions (Toronto) and the National Film Board of Canada to present the premiere screening of the recently produced short film inspired by the beloved classic book, A Prairie Boy’s Winter, written and illustrated by artist, William Kurelek.

This new animation by two-time Oscar-nominated Winnipeg director Cordell Barker will be featured alongside the Winnipeg premiere of his latest film with the NFB, Good Luck to You All, as well as several NFB classics, celebrating Barker’s extraordinary body of work.

Following the screening, join us for an engaging conversation with the director, then continue the celebration with live music and a light reception in our Main Hall.
