Treaty One Panel Talks

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the signing of Treaty One.

To honour this occasion, WAG-Qaumajuq in partnership with the Treaty One Nation, are proud to present a panel series featuring stories highlighting Treaty One’s past, present and future.

In Past, Knowledge Keepers Ray Mason and Ruth Norton talk about the origin of Treaty One; in Present, current issues are discussed with Chief Dennis Meeches & Chief Glenn Hudson; and lastly Promise Keepers Emilie McKinney and Jaiden Roberts speak to Treaty One’s Future.

The WAG is very honoured to be able to uplift Indigenous voices from Treaty One territory, since it is the land the WAG sits on.
