Sneak Peek! Into the Light: LL FitzGerald

Into the Light, $50

Today we would have opened our newest exhibition Into the Light: LL FitzGerald, organized by the WAG in partnership with the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. While we have to wait to share the show with you in person, we’re thrilled to give you this sneak peek in the meantime!

This exhibition features more than 200 artworks by Manitoba’s member of the Group of Seven. Learn more here. We look forward to opening our doors soon and welcoming you back!

Big thanks to lead sponsors Canada Life and Power Corporation of Canada.

Loved FitzGerald during my 25 years of volunteering at the WAG and hope the show is on when the Inuit Gallery opens as l hope to fly back to Winnipeg from Vancouver when it opens in the Fall. The WAG is my favourite gallery in Canada.

Thank you so much for sharing the LL FitzGerald show in video at WAG. I have an Art Touring Group in Guelph and I took them to see the show at the McMichael. IT was superb but I wish that I could see the treasures at the WAG again. I miss the WAG! Congratulations!!!

Fitzgerald is one of my favourite artists and I was really looking forward to the exhibition. This is a wonderful little video and the background music is lovely. I’ll enjoy this many times while I’m waiting to see his art at the gallery. Thank you for this little gift to cheer us up while we “isolate”.
