WAG-Qaumajuq is now open! Make sure to review our latest safety measures below.
The Gallery Shop, WAG Studio and our new cafe Katita are also open! Our spaces are available for private events according to provincial health orders.
SAFETY MEASURES
The Gallery continues to follow provincial guidelines for occupancy level and health orders:
Gallery Visits, Studio Classes & Events
- Masks are not mandatory but are recommended — if needed, we have masks available at the front desk.
- Proof of vaccination will not be required.
- WAG-Qaumajuq is open at 100% capacity.
Social Distancing
- We ask all staff and visitors to keep a physical distance of at least two metres when possible.
- The following steps are being followed:
- Touchless payment (i.e. credit and debit cards) is preferred over cash.
- Please leave backpacks and large purses at home.
- All tours and activities to accommodate physical distancing.
Health Precautions & Onsite Cleaning
- Hand-sanitation and stringent cleaning practices throughout the galleries.
- Washrooms have frequent sanitization.

Hi there! Will you be requiring proof of immunization? I plan on going to WAG in the upcoming weeks with my friend, however she is an international student who cannot apply for a vaccination card even though she is fully immunized. Thanks!
Hi! Provincial mandates no longer require proof of vaccination in museums and galleries, we are open to all but we are requiring that masks be worn while inside. Thank you and enjoy your visit!

Hi Karen, we only have pre-registration available for free days at the Gallery (next ones being August 14 & 15), otherwise, admission is available upon entry! Thank you for checking and enjoy your visit!

Hi, we are looking forward to bringing our niece and nephew (ages 8 and 10) later this month. Have there been any issues with wait times of folks not being able to get in because of the 50% capacity. I know it may be taking some time for number to ramp up but wanted to avoid disappointment if possible. Thanks!

Are reservations required?
Hello, reservations are only required for events or our Free Days. For general admission/visits just walk in! Thanks for checking!
Is this event kid friendly ?
Hello, kids are always welcome at WAG-Qaumajuq :) Youth are free 18 and under, and youth 25 and under can get a free friend membership!
Will guests be required to show vaccination qr code for entry to the Sept 30 event celebrating Truth and Reconciliation in the MRAuditorium?

Hello, I am a U of M student and would like to visit the WAG museum, however I am not fully vaccinated. Would I be allowed to enter or do I have to be fully vaccinated?
