The connection between Inuit and Anishininiwak cultures stems beyond language and syllabic. The clay and stone sculptures in ᐃ highlight influences of each cultures’ established practice and methods in material and form. In this exhibition, you’ll see the relationships in history and art history, as well as the impact on collective and individual creative endeavours.

Very excited about revisiting the WAG. :-)
Crossing our fingers we can re-open soon!
I am looking forward to getting up close to these beautiful pieces and see what stories they hold within. It is the stories that connects us and as we have learned through these last few months…connecting with each other – across cultures, past & present, the history art brings – is so important. Thank you WAG for keeping us connected.
Thank you for the kind words and support, Rosemary! We hope to welcome you back soon!
