It’s YOU!

You’re what’s been missing from WAG-Qaumajuq. Our new building was open for a few weeks this past spring before the pandemic shut our doors again. This week’s news is encouraging, and we look forward to reopening soon and welcoming you.

It’s been a rough 15 months, yet we are inspired by, and grateful for the community’s commitment to building the WAG’s Inuit art centre.

Thank you for believing in the power of art and community!

The Richardson Foundation has also believed in and supported our community for decades. And today I’m thrilled to share with you they have generously offered to match the next $1 million in donations to Qaumajuq.

If you’re able, please consider a donation to Qaumajuq. Your gift of any size makes a difference, and ensures WAG-Qaumajuq is here for you and others – for always.

Qaumajuq was built as a place to share stories and experiences. It’s here to bring joy and wonder into our lives. But the work is not yet done with this transformational project. It continues to evolve, to change, to become even more of a place for you and everyone in the community.

Today, I invite you to come in when you are able – to explore, to connect, and to have fun. I also invite you to give, and invest in Qaumajuq and its potential to bring our community together.

Your gift today will double, thanks to the generosity of the Richardson Foundation.

WAG-Qaumajuq is yours, and a place I hope you’ll feel at home. And with your donation, we can secure the final $3 million of our $65-million campaign and complete Canada’s newest cultural campus together.

Thank you for being part of this amazing journey!

Stephen Borys, Director & CEO

Qaumajuq is changing the landscape, literally and figuratively. By joining the Richardson Foundation in supporting this transformative project, we can honour Inuit stories and cultural traditions while connecting with one another in new and exciting ways. As our community emerges from these challenging times, we believe Qaumajuq will help bring us back together. — Hartley T. Richardson, President, Richardson Foundation Inc.
