WAG Offers Encore of World’s Best Commercials

Winnipeg, Manitoba, February 21, 2017:  Tickets are now on sale to see the winners of the 2016 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Back for a limited time only, this annual compilation of award-winning commercials is being screened on select dates in March in the WAG’s Muriel Richardson Auditorium.

Representing almost every continent and spanning cultures from around the globe, these ads are a fascinating window to the world.

Friday, March 24, 7:00pm
Saturday, March 25, 3:30 & 7:00pm
Sunday, March 26, 7:00pm
Wednesday, March 29, 7:00pm
Thursday, March 30, 7:00pm

Doors open one hour before the first showing, rush seating. 

Tickets: $15 or $13 for WAG members, seniors, and students; available at wag.ca or in person at the WAG front desk. Many shows sell out, so it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Screenings feature a cash bar with cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications. As the most prestigious international annual advertising awards, nearly 40,000 entries from close to 100 countries are showcased and judged at the festival. Winning organizations receive the highly coveted Lion trophy, benchmarking innovation in anything from mobile and billboards to design and branded content.
