Registration on now for WAG Summer Art Camps and Workshops

Once again, the Winnipeg Art Gallery is offering a series of summer art camps and workshops for children, teens, and adults. Details of all summer camps and workshops can be found at

Summer Art Camps for children ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 13 run weekly from 9am to 4pm, July 7 to August 22 (with early drop-off from 8:30am and pick up until 5pm). If your kids love making fantastic pictures, experimenting with paint, and creating unusual structures, here’s their chance to make unique works of art with the help of talented camp artists in any of three programs—Create a Tale, Art Agents, and Art Power and Spirit. Inspired by the work hanging on the Gallery walls, campers embark on exciting field trips, and stage their very own mini-exhibition at the end of the week.

Teens ages 13 to 17 can immerse themselves in weeklong (12 to 4pm) workshops August 11 to 15. In a stimulating environment they will use a variety of drawing and painting media as well as work on a 3D project.

Adult workshops in oil/acrylic painting, mixed media, or drawing, run the weeks of August 11 to 15 and 18 to 22. Running Monday through Friday, each course offers 25 hours (5 hours per day) of class time in a stimulating environment.

Register for all camps and workshops online at, by calling 204.789.1766, or faxing 204.772.6841. Many camps and workshops sell out quickly, so register early to save your spot.

Currently the Winnipeg Art Gallery is offering free Gallery admission to youth 18 and under until June 30.
