Rentals Administrator
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Rentals Coordinator, this position is responsible for providing administrative duties for the Rentals Department of WAG-Qaumajuq and for co-ordinating meeting room for client rentals. This is a full time, permanent position (35 hours/week).
Salary:
$39,057 with benefits
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs administrative tasks (contracts, letter, & mailings)
- Creates floor plans
- Arrange rentals in the room booking calendar
- Liaise with rental clients & WAG departments
- Prepare and distribute invoices
- Give Sales Site Visits when needed
- Answer all sales related questions when needed
- Ensure that the bar is set up for all Gallery liquor service events
- Work evening and weekend events as required
- Ensure that WAG-Qaumajuq policies and procedures are followed
- Ongoing performance expectations relating to equity and anti-racism, including ongoing education, confrontation of personal biases, application of the anti-racism policy and equitable decision-making
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field
- Smart Choices Responsible Service certification
ASSETS
- Positive attitude combined with an ability to work effectively – independently and within a team environment
- Event planning/hospitality courses are an asset
- General knowledge of the operation of audio-visual equipment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight and concurrent deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Lived experience as an Indigenous and/or racialized person on Turtle Island
- If Indigenous, belonging to and claimed by an Indigenous Nation
