Rentals Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Rentals Coordinator, this position is responsible for providing administrative duties for the Rentals Department of WAG-Qaumajuq and for co-ordinating meeting room for client rentals. This is a full time, permanent position (35 hours/week).

Salary:
$39,057 with benefits

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs administrative tasks (contracts, letter, & mailings)
  • Creates floor plans
  • Arrange rentals in the room booking calendar
  • Liaise with rental clients & WAG departments
  • Prepare and distribute invoices
  • Give Sales Site Visits when needed
  • Answer all sales related questions when needed
  • Ensure that the bar is set up for all Gallery liquor service events
  • Work evening and weekend events as required
  • Ensure that WAG-Qaumajuq policies and procedures are followed
  • Ongoing performance expectations relating to equity and anti-racism, including ongoing education, confrontation of personal biases, application of the anti-racism policy and equitable decision-making
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field
  • Smart Choices Responsible Service certification

ASSETS

  • Positive attitude combined with an ability to work effectively – independently and within a team environment
  • Event planning/hospitality courses are an asset
  • General knowledge of the operation of audio-visual equipment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight and concurrent deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Lived experience as an Indigenous and/or racialized person on Turtle Island
  • If Indigenous, belonging to and claimed by an Indigenous Nation
