Bilingual Facilitator (Casual)
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head of Indigenous Ways & Learning, this position is responsible for providing an educational experience by conducting youth tours, adult tours, participating in team teaching and mentorship in the training of volunteer guides. Fluency in French is required.
Wage:
$19.24/hr
Schedule:
Casual scheduling per availability and French School Tour bookings. Weekday, daytime availability.
Start Date:
ASAP
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducts and adapts learning programs for youth and/or adults
- Attends regular training
- Research exhibitions in preparation for delivery of programs
- Maintains program resources and materials
- Assists in the training process for new Facilitators or volunteers
- Provides regular feedback on Indigenous Ways & Learning
- Ongoing performance expectations relating to equity and anti-racism, including ongoing education, confrontation of personal biases, application of the anti-racism policy and equitable decision-making.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Fluency in French and English
- Minimum two year’s post-secondary education in fine art or art history
- Minimum two years’ experience working with children
- Clear Child Abuse Registry check
- Good communication and leadership skills
Assets:
- Knowledge of Internet research procedures desirable
- Ability to speak or write an Indigenous language
- First Aid Certification
