Casual Learning & Programs Facilitator
Reporting to the Head of Learning & Programs, this position is responsible for providing an educational experience by conducting youth tours, adult tours, participating in team teaching and mentorship in the training of volunteer guides.
Starting wage: $18.59/hour
Responsibilities
• Conducts and adapts Learning & Programs for youth and/or adults
• Attends regular Learning & Programs training
• Researches exhibitions in preparation for delivery of programs
• Maintains Learning & Programs resources and materials
• Assists in the training process for new Learning & Program facilitators or volunteers
• Provides regular feedback on Learning & Programs
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Minimum two year’s post-secondary education in fine art or art history
• Minimum two year’s experience working with children
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Clear Child Abuse Registry check
• Fluency in French and English required for bi-lingual facilitator
Assets
- Ability to speak or write an Indigenous language
- Knowledge of Internet research procedures desirable
The scheduled school visits will determine the hours and days of work.
